Nevertheless, Meru asked Rintaro regarding his decision to be the [[Dragons|Dragon]] (which stunned Ayane and friends), to which the boy replied that whilst he found fighting maybe fun, he couldn't accept the fact the duels that dragging bystanders to unwanted consequences, so he resolved to be the Dragon in order to change the academy's ways. Even as they were impressed by his resolution, Ren informed Rintaro that he needed to prove that resolve by fighting against both Meru and herself, which Rintaro accepted without hesitation. The brawl quickly ensured where two alumni somehow overpowered Rintaro in amazing feat of power and speed, seemly wearing the boy down but he survived the attack.
