Regarding Chingaruna517's comments in his edit of Kyōka:

Although it may be easier to summarize Kyōka's words as "survival of the fittest" in the wiki, by changing her dialogue about "the strong eating the weak" and that "herbivores die", you remove two very important aspects about Kyōka's personality and the premise of Nangokuren.

First off, Kyōka's dialogue is laced with food-related allusions.  Her constant references to eating implies that she sees herself as a carnivore, or on top of the food chain; this in turn implies that she sees herself as the strongest of all Dragons.  Changing her words that drastically removes this implication and makes her dialogue milder.

Secondly, it is stated that the first rule of Nangokuren is that it "abides (by) the law of nature".  Kyōka's words explicitly reference this, because they refer to the food cycle wherein plant-eaters -- or herbivores -- are consumed by meat-eaters.  "Survival of the fittest" is more of an evolutionary term, and often does not necessarily refer to strength -- which Kyōka values -- but rather to adaptability and mental capability (which, I would argue, would refer more to Rino).  Since Kyōka represents power, her words about eating the weak and herbivores dying off would be much more appropriate for her character.
